sometimes she looks great; usually she looks like a troll doll that hasn't eaten in months. Unfortunately her troll doll tendencies are winning out over her more attractive qualities on the set of "Weeds," the Showtime drama in which she's set to appear in 10 episodes. Sources on the set of the quirky show snitched to TMZ.com that Mary-Kate is spending more time getting her make up done that she is filming.

No, Mary-Kate isn't playing some sort of alien or even an "Ugly Betty"-type character that would require long hours in the make up room. She's actually just playing a young Christian girl named Tara. But the problem is that, as stated, Tara is young. And Mary-Kate's coffee and cigarette addiction has aged her beyond her nearly 21 years.

Maybe the "Weeds" producers should just hire Mary-Kate's regular make-up artist. The mini-mogul looked better than she has in months at Sunday's CFDA Awards nominees dinner in New York.

CFDA 2007, Awards...

It was a big night for the fashion world, as the Council of Fashion Designers of America hit New York City. Elisha Cuthbert, Eva Mendes and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were among the celebs in attendance. Some say it could be called the Oscar Awards for the fashion world.

Ralph Lauren won the first American Fashion Legend Award, and as a bonus, was presented the award by Oprah Winfrey. And apparently Oprah is a big Ralph Lauren fan. “He’s everything we all want to be. He’s the definition of cool with style, elegance and a sense of conscience.”

According to USA Today, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen also made bold moves by wearing dresses they designed. Ashley was wearing a black gown from their label, The Row. “It’s one of my own designs. It’s elegant and sophisticated.” Her sister arrived sporting a cream-colored dress from their other collection, Elizabeth and James. “We made it in 24 hours,” said Mary-Kate, who was jittery about presenting. “I can’t think right now. I’m very nervous.”

'Elizabeth and James'

'Elizabeth and James' is the name for their new fashion clothes collection.
Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen are set to add a new clothes line 'Elizabeth and James' to their couture label, 'The Row'.The new collection is reportedly named after the twins' siblings and is influenced by their own vintage collection.It is the concept taken signifying a girl and a boy's relation.

'We wanted it to be based on a relationship between a young girl and a boy and tell the story through the clothing,'Said the Twins.The new collection will be on sale at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, and Intermix from the fall.

Mary-Kate and Ashley have a clothing line in Wal-Mart stores across America for girls aged 4-14, as well as a beauty line called 'Mary-Kate and Ashley: Real fashion for real girls'.
